Marie Osmond's son commits suicide
Michael Blosil, the 18-year-old son of Marie Osmond, jumped to his death and committed suicide of his apartment in Los Angeles on the evening of Friday, February 25. The apartment building is 15 stories high. When the police arrived Blosil dead found. Blosil Marie Osmond was one of the eight children she had with her ex-husband.
He left a suicide note stating that he was suffering from a lifetime major depression and had come to believe that he would never have any friends or fit into society. Marie and her brother Donny have a show at the Flamingo in Las Vegas that needed immediate canceled due to the tragedy. There was no word on when the show would resume.
Donny issued a brief statement asking fans to "please pray for My sister and her family. "Marie gave a statement on the day after the death of Michael's which she said:" My family and I are devastated and in shock at the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time. "
In 2007, at the age of 16, Michael was a rehab facility. Mary stood by him and was quoted to be proud of her son. There was no reason why he was in rehab at the time. Just last Spring, it seemed as if Michael turned his life around for the better when he was scoring top grades in high school and was looking for college scholarship offers.
Marie Osmond has previous personal tragedies to deal with including its claims of being molested as a child growing up in Utah. She also addressed the postpartum depression that rumors of an attempted suicide resulted.
