Marine Corps Tattoo Policy – What You Need to Know
If you want to be one of the few you have or are thinking of getting a tattoo, you should know what the Marine Corps tattoo policy. The policy has changed in the past few years.
In the past, the general rule, a Marine can not be a tattoo on their head or neck. The tattoo could not be anti-American, sexist, racist, anti-social, or a gang or extremist preferences.
In 2007, additional guidance (Marine Administrative Message 198/07) was introduced after the Marine Corps saw an increase in "sleeve" tattoos. The Marine Corps considers a sleeve tattoo for a very a large tattoo or collection of smaller tattoos that covers or almost covers a person full arm or leg. When a Marine is a standard physical training T-shirt and wear shorts, there is no full, half or quarter sleeve tattoos visible.
Since 2008, Special Duty Assignments are made by adding a the tattoo policy (Marine Administrative Message 494/08). Marines exception for sleeve tattoos are not authorized to serve as a recruiter (PMOS 8411) or a Marine Security Guard (PMOS 8156). The new guidelines were created because the guards and Recruiters have a significant amount of contact with citizens and could affect the observations Marines of people. There may be situations where Marines are not authorized to continue working in their current job, but other Marines in search of their PMOS will be influenced by the new regulations. Marine Combat Instructors switch (PMOS 0913), may Drill Instructors (PMOS 0911) or the Marine Corps Security Forces Guards (PMOS 8152) remain applicable to serve after the grandfathered in.

How long can I be of the Marine Corps before the end of basic training again?
I'm from the Marine Corps for almost one year. I got out the After last time with recurring injuries and I did not sit waiting for a package I received injuries to net. I really can not stand how boring bourgeois life, I I never do what I have to do in the Marines, and college is unnerving so I want to go back. How long can I be of the Marine Corps boot camp before going to half time fill? It's so mentally draining fun. Lieutenant-colonel recommended me an honorable discharge due to having a perfect execution score. If the DD214 form, I have known other Marines to join after discharged for recurring injuries. and I finished boot camp with a meritorious promotion. It was in the school of infantry that my metatarsals broke my foot constantly.
If you have already completed USMC Boot Camp, you do not repeat. The thing I wonder about what you said to figure out due to injuries …. Received you have a medical discharge? If you did, then you are not able to get back into the service. If you have a DD214 form, you will need to review service and make sure you are even eligible to re-enter. If you can not figure it out, contact your local recruiters and give them the whole story about your situation, they will be able to answer questions you better than anyone here on Yahoo. Good Luck Navy.
