In the very dramatic ending to the OC season 3 of the song Hallelujah Leonard Coen seem to capture the emotional overtones of the scene. Ryan takes Marissa in his arms. He tells her he will have to go get help, but knowing that nothing can be done, she asks him to stay. After a few moments of looking into each other 'S eyes, she dies in Ryan ' s arms.
