The ceremony which will take place this Sunday, December 6 in San Francisco, the self-published book to celebrate "Sophia's exit strategy", which talked about a child growing up in Palermo, Italy, Sophia Lucarno, was "different" from what is usually considered "normal" – And also to suffer the taunts of other children.
As a result, Sophia developed a survival mechanism that enabled her to go deep within himself, sufficient closing of the outside world. This tendency to silence with himself was a regular part of her personality, and remained until adulthood. As an adult, Sophia continued to resort to take this state of silence to fight back against the traumas of her life. Despite her extraordinary beauty, it was clear that the father of Sophia's, Salvatore Lucarno that she could never get a man from the local men, so he arranged for her marriage to an American name Sergio Borelli.
Borelli married with the beautiful Sophia and brought her to live in New York's "Little Italy". Their union was not a "love match" but an arranged marriage, one that involved a large enough dowry. Once Borelli ran into brick walls of Sophia Sile's comp, but he began to believe he was cheated – and that he had actually bought an inferior man. In his indignation at being stuck with an inferior woman, he begins to verbal and physical abuse Sophia. After some time, Sophia is a relationship with a local Jewish laundry cleaner and a rich widow, two acting as her support system against her husband Sergio. They help her plan her first flight.
Meanwhile, Sergio, a low ranking member of the neighborhood Mafia, calls on the organization for help in locating and escaped back to his wife. The chase begins. In a powerful novel that captures the spirit the late 1930's America, writer C. Paolo Caruso masterfully weaves a wonderful tapestry, a richly steeped in intrigue, humor, pathos and human drama.
Forward driven by strong momentum, a cast of richly drawn characters and a twist-filled plot that will leave the reader guessing – and gasping – until the last page, Sophia's exit strategy is an exciting, rewarding reading experience.
