History of Mickey Mouse
Mickey Mouse is a famous cartoon of a talking mouse. It is owned by The Walt Disney Company and has a very strong franchise for the company, its theme parks and other merchandise options. Mickey Mouse is very unique among the characters, it has large, round black ears, a pointed nose and wearing red pants buttons with white and yellow boots. The outline of Mickey's ears and nose are basically the logo of Walt Disney.
The origins of Mickey Mouse is not very clear. There are different stories to suit the desire of publishers, copyright owners and people looking for a mystery. All parties have passed for its creation and the real truth may never be known. Walt Disney Company claims that Walt Disney was the founder of the company made the character itself.
Disney recalls his photographs of a cartoon mouse and his best friend Ub Iwerks drew the pictures processed into a form that would quickly draw the character. The voice, attitude and personality of Mickey Mouse were given by Walt. Many described him as the real father and rightful creator of Mickey Mouse.
A contradictory story claimed that the mouse character was originally written by Hugh Harman around a photograph of Walt Disney in 1925. These were later used as ideas for a new character separated from Universal Studios to Disney. He was contracted to shorts on the character named Oswald the Lucky Rabbit offer. He asked his friend Ub Iwerks to come up with ideas that dogs, including frogs, cows, cats and horses.
Iwerks was almost at his wits end when he was Harman's sketches of the mouse remembered around photos of Walt and agreed. They agreed to it and she saw the mouse being as man. They had the name of their character as Mortimer Mouse.
Mortimer had fought for his identity, Walt's wife was convinced that the name was snobby and would not match with the character of public appeal. Disney wanted his new character to be cute and affectionate. Walt credited part of the personality of Mickey Mouse on Charlie Chaplin a later interview. Mickey Rooney stated that revealed the name after seeing Mickey choose the character of Mickey McGuire, who was played by Mickey Rooney in the early 1920s.
The first Mickey Mouse short called Plane Crazy was ready for distribution in May 1928 but was not successful in finding a distributor. A second short called The Gallopin 'Gaucho was filmed and shown previously introduced a character named Pete wooden leg. This is not a distributor. It was an unusual production.
Steamboat Willie was the first Mickey Mouse animated short that was successful to a distributor. It was released in November 1928. It was a quick hit and the audience loved the use of music and sound effects to add humor to the production. He encouraged Disney to take sounds and animation boobs Mickey's first spoken words included in the production the Karnival Kid in 1929.
There was a slight change in the appearance of Mickey and Minnie in late 1929. By the early 1930s, Mickey Mouse had left Felix the Cat "and Mortimer Mouse was introduced as a rancher Minnie's uncle.
A new animator at Disney Company redesigned Mickey Mouse in 1935. In 1978 the 50th anniversary of Mickey Mouse first short film produced and distributed. Mickey was also awarded a star on Hollywood Boulevard and was the first cartoon character to receive a star.
The Walt Disney Company was successfully operating Mickey Mouse Clubs in cinemas in the U.S. and claim more than one million members. Members also receive coloring books and badges. By the mid- 1930, the administrative costs of managing this was not profitable and they were closed. However, the Mickey Mouse Club was again revived in 1955 through 1959 as a television series.
The Mickey Mouse Club was broadcast in the year 1970 and again in the year 1990, many famous pop celebrities like Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears got their first broadcast role as members of the cast of the revived show. A new format to display the name of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse began airing in 2006 and was aimed at preschoolers.
