Nashville is the capital of the state of Tennessee. It is located in Davidson County, along the Cumberland River. Many visitors come here witnessed some of the biggest things the city has to offer. It is one of the most popular U.S. destinations.

It offers a lot of fun hands-on exhibits for the children to enjoy. Another interesting family attraction is the Parthenon. It is a replica of the Greek Parthenon in Athens. It was built in 1897 for Nashville's Centennial Exhibition. It was renovated in 1920. It serves as an art museum of the city. It is located at the Centennial Park.
There are also shopping centers and malls where you can buy various souvenirs and one of them is Music Valley Village. This place offers a great shopping experience, particularly for those in the traditional Nashville outfits. The 8th Avenue Antique District the location of a large number of unique antique shops. This is the perfect place for antique collectors. If you are looking for affordable antiquities, you can Goodlettsville Antique Community. It has eight shopping centers and shops with antiques at affordable prices. On the other hand, the 12th Avenue South provides shoppers with trendy items.
Music City also has some of its most important annual events. The Gospel Music Association Dove Awards will be held at different locations each year in April. Every June, the CMA Music Festival. It is a four-day event with performances by country music stars. Every September, the Tennessee State Fair is held. People are flooding the State Fairground to various attractions like roller coasters, shows, rodeos, tractor pulls and many other shows to watch.
The State Fair lasts nine days. The Nashville Film Festival takes place each April, is another important annual event in the city and one of the largest film festivals in the southern part of the country. It shows 100 independent films for one week. Other notable big events in Nashville, the African Street Festival, Country Music Marathon, Tomato Art Festival and Australian Festival.
