Hutschenreuther Porcelain
Cooperation with the various artists Hutschenreuther decorative figures give their exceptional quality. More than 100 scultors and porcelain artists have lent their creativity and imagination to express Hutschenreuther over the years. The art department was established already in 1917. The first designs are the work of Professor Fritz Klee. In 1922 the sculptor Carl Werner took charge of the artistic department.
The same year saw the beginning of the creative collaboration with Carl during Tutter the four decades of his work, went on to masterfully crafted images to create worldwide recognition. In the mid 1930 Adolf Pfeiffer earlier generla Director State manfactorer Meissen porcelain was artistic adviser. It's Adolf Pfeiffer Hutschenreuther who to thank for the cooperation with artists such as Professor Paul Sheurich and Max Esser.
Hans Achtziger arrival in 1948 was an important event for the fortunes of Hutschenreuther's art department. Several of his figures on the world, even today. In 1956 the young sculptor Gunther R. Grangette the team. After receiving his training with Carl and Karl Werner Tutter, he devoted his strength primarily animal figures to create. Grangette's motive, his artistic expression and his exceptional ability as a craftsman to give the collection of new, internationally recognized inspiration. From 1984 until his retirement In 1996 Gunther R. Grangette was head of the Hutschenreuther art department.
Hutschenreuther tableware designs are created by international artists and experienced in-house designers. They reflect the great tradition of Hutschenreuther porcelain creativity and a high degree of sensitivity to the aesthetics of our time. It is possible to create 25 different shades in a porcelain pattern.The attention to detail that goes into decorating each piece of Hutschenreuther porcelain marks the unique and distinctive brilliance of color and glossy beauty which Hutschenreuther famous. potters / ceramic artists: what type of clay do you prefer to work with at the wheel?
I throw with stoneware clay, although I'm thinking on branching. How do you feel about the pottery and porcelain? What are the pros / cons of each? Thanks in advance!
I love Cone 6 porcelain for throwing. Extremely smooth and a good clay body, even after baking.
