NICU Preemie Baby Book
This book contains the answers to the questions I had while my baby was in the NICU. As half-time parents, I was especially concerned about issues confirmation with my baby that may result from being hospitalized. This book, written by the attachment between parent gurus helped some of my fears alieviate and offer tips for stimulating attachment.

After reading many reviews, I finally ordered 3 books on premature babies. This book is definitely the best. I read it daily and it answered many questions. I especially recommend it if your baby had no problems and was only in the incubator to grow.
My beautiful first grandson was born on Thanksgiving Day 2006, up to 1 day before in the womb for 27 weeks, he weighed two pounds 2ounces. My daughter-in-law water broke when she was pregnant only 25 week and had them in the hospital flat on her back for the 2 1 / 2 weeks. The doctors had prepared us for the worst, however, my grandson who is now 8 weeks old and doing great So far no major problems. He is still in hospital but we expect him home soon will be. The premature baby book was great, I bought a copy for my daughter-in-law on a well-known bookstore, but was unable to find a copy for me so I went on line and found it at Amazon. This book answers all the questions we had during the journey the journey of having a premature baby in your life from infections how to deal with the nurses you are not sure they are your child's best interests when taking care of them, along with what you can expect your baby. I highly recommend the book, because it sure gave us plenty of rest. Since my children were full term babies, I am learning so much and the pleasure of seeing of our precious preemie grow outside the uterus and is doing so well. We are blessed that he was in a large hospital with a wonderful staff and the book serves as a great guide and very informative. If you or someone you know has a premature baby, by all means give this book, you give them a peace of mind to know that almost all their questions are answered in this book.

someone had a 34/35 week preemie baby? if so, how long did baby stay in hospital and what problems he / she?
I am 33 wks 4 days, went I prematurity at 27 weeks, my cervix was 50% thinned out and my cervix was extremely soft, Well I had not checked my cervix b / c my doctor did not want anything to promote. I was in the hospital on Wednesday because a woman in a truck hit me on my drivers side door and I was in the hospital for 6 hours with contractions every 10 minutes for the two of them. I have a lot of contractions and feel a great pressure. I would like some stories of babies born around 34/35 weeks to hear and how long they had in the hospital?
I had my son at 35 weeks exactly. They helped me not develop lung cancer drug because it takes over 24 hours for them to take effect (so it was I am told). When he was born he didn't need oxygen or heat or whatever. She sent him to NICU for monitoring and he was there for about four hours before they took him to the regular childcare. (Man, the NICU nurses were crazy! She loved him because they could cause him and play with him!) He was born on a Thursday morning. I was fired on Saturday, then on Monday he was fired and I got him home! I had to the office of Drs the next day for a checkup and then one week later for another, but he didn't weight to lose and we both did great from the start! Remember stress and have faith that things will be ok and she really wants! Congrats on your upcoming bundle of joy!
