Tissot's Brand Ambassadors Embrace Excellence
A leader in innovative, quality timepieces since 1853, the Tissot Watch Company creates stylish, precision watches to suit any occasion, with the best designs, materials and workmanship. Since 1974, the Tissot Watch Company is a part of many high-profile sporting events, beginning with the sponsorship of a race car in 24 Hours Le Mans, France. The company is now known for its involvement in a variety of performance sport, including Formula One motor racing, ice hockey, and cycling. Next their role as the official timekeepers of the Tour de Suisse, Tissot also has stopwatch on the official World Cup cyclo-cross and MTB World Cup. Their ongoing relationships with global sporting events has led the Company for a testimonial Tissot Watch program involving a number of sports stars, including international soccer champion Michael Owen launch. As the 2000 European Footballer of the Year, Michael has played for leading clubs in England and Spain, and he is currently playing in the English Premier League for the world-famous Newcastle United.
Ten years ago, Tissot chose Michael Owen, and since they have chosen many others to their team of brand ambassadors to join. Brand ambassadors are chosen because they reflect the brand values of precision, performance, innovation and prestige. Another famous athlete on the team of Ambassadors Tissot Danica Patrick – the first woman to win a race in the IndyCar Series. Tissot Danica became the first female ambassador in 2005 and was recently renewed its contract for another two years. In the male-dominated world of racing, Danica has known her being a fierce competition, while retaining its elegant femininity. Nicky Hayden, who won the 2006 MotoGP World Championship, has joined the team Tissot. Currently in its sixth season with the MotoGP championship, Nicky is known for pushing himself (and his cycle) to new heights of excellence. Nicky, Danica, Michael and other iconic sports figures have used the Tissot brand because of his dedication to accuracy, technological excellence, and the long history of innovation. But Tissot team of brand ambassadors is not limited to the world of professional sports.
Two other team members are known for their personal style and passion for art. Asian beauty Barbie Xu, who became famous for her starring role in "Meteor Garden" is a rising star in television and cinema. Ms. Xu is frequently sought after by talk shows and magazines for her advice on fashion, beauty, and culture, and of course her love for Tissot watches.
Another famous actress, Deepika Padukone plays the role of the Tissot brand ambassador for India, and is known as the "Face of Tissot" around the world. One of the most admired actresses of India, Deepika is also an international model. In March 2009, Deepika proudly launched the new Tissot T-Touch Expert on an event in Mumbai, India. When Mrs.
Padukone announced the launch of the T-Touch Expert, said that she is more than just a watch. Called it a "gizmo" that any traveler would want to own, Deepika said the new touch-screen clock made wearing a watch a more exciting experience for her. She was particularly impressed by his extraordinary features. Among the many fans of Tissot, vol Deepika praise for this new breakthrough in timekeeping technology.
