The Top Five U.S. Presidents

Deciding on who the top ten presidents, is not an easy task. Each of the presidents of this country served their country as well as they could. Each president was presented with different challenges and tasks, depending on the period and social situation they found themselves serve as president below.

The simplest President to be chosen as one of the top five Presidents George Washington. As the first president of the United States, George Washington served 1789 until 1797. Washington was one of the most significant contributions to the formation of our Constitution, and he remains as the only U.S. president ever to be voted for unanimously by the President people, not once, but for his two terms. Although the people wanted Washington to serve another term in 1797, he refused to waive the post and passing the torch the next president. This particular man religious, patriotic beliefs and his brave actions were the foundation of one of the most democratic nations on earth.

Abraham Lincoln, the president acknowledged by the magnificent Lincoln Memorial, was president from 1861-1865. President Lincoln was during one of the most difficult times in our country – the Civil War. Lincoln's stance against the decision of the Southern States to try to break the union and his willingness to use violence ended the preservation of the Union and keeping it whole country. History would show that almost as strong, his strong hand ended slavery and helped free countless slaves from the clutches of a terrible fate in the South. One of the most famous and moving speeches of our nation was Lincoln's Gettysburg Address at the inauguration of the soldiers' National Cemetery in Gettysburg, PA in 1863.

President Roosevelt was another president, who led a troubled country fighting an evil enemy during the Second World War. He served as president from 1933-1945, and he also helped implementation of the nation until the end of the Great Depression in 1933. Roosevelt created the New Deal, who served as a catalyst for the country to draw from the deep depression. He also created the Social Security Act, which still meets all Americans peace of mind when their older years and let the employees for retirement. Roosevelt's leadership came from well during these difficult periods for each of the country, and at the end was its leadership that helped the country is much safer in the long term.

President Harry Truman was another war president who proved its worth in the treatment of the end of the Second World War and its aftermath. He was president from 1945 to 1953. He made the difficult decision to order the atomic bomb against Japan in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. If the United States left the World War II and was in the Cold War, President Truman's leadership the Nation to establish a strong and positive course in the future.

Woodrow Wilson, another war president, saw the United States by World War I. He served as president from 1913 to 1921. America was successful in the first world war due to his able leadership and diplomacy, and its role in the Treaty of Versailles, which the First World War He also finished strongly improved the nation by the Federal Reserve Act, the Federal Trace Commission Act and the Clayton Antitrust Act. As a proof of his life, Woodrow Wilson won the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1919.

This list contains only five of the great presidents of the country – there are certainly many more men who demonstrated the highest office in the nation. But these five are perfect examples of the type of person the people of this nation are looking for when they consider candidates for the U.S. presidency. They are certainly very large shoes to fill.

I actually know some people who voted for Obama, which can be set with him now he is talking about offshore drilling. So I wondered how many others are not happy with Obama Environmentalist work towards lifting the ban on offshore drilling.

Bah … Obama plays it smart. He's the direction his ass every so CONS can not come back later and say "Obama did not do this, but I want". Obama is doing everything. And he said in his speech after winning the election "You will not always agree with me" DUH! Have you ever you meet a person who agrees with you 100% of what they? Latvian Get serious …. I do not disagree with Obama on two or three songs I will not vote for him when I was with him at 50 points.
