Top 10 TV Shows of All Time
Here is my list of my ten all-time favorite TV shows and in random order. These are the shows
I could at any time view. I will try to keep it fun by telling you what I do not like about
them and their characters, some great lines from the shows, maybe some interesting things you
did not know, and much more – everything, just the usual top ten list.
1. The Rockford Files
Cool theme song. Cool car (Gold Firebird, which crashed numerous times). Great cast
Rocky, Angel and others. Cool trailer on a Malibu beach with convenient bar for rendezvous and drops,
cases, etc. Great mostlly credible. Many good reviews of stars like Lyndsey Wagner at its most
beautiful. I have said all this without say nothing of the leadership: James Garner, the consummate cool
actor.
Gimmicks and / or peculiarities, etc.:
Now-dated answering machine from which we hear something funny for the theme song kicks in.
James Garner's brother Jack in cameo roles and, often, a bailiff, a bartender and the like.
Great line:
Angel: "Just do (kill) Jimmy, and I will spread the word (say what might happen to others,
they double cross the villains as Jimmy did.) "
2. Gunsmoke
What a great cast, with Matt, Doc, Kitty, Chester, Festus, Sam and others. This show started as
thirty minutes, but was extended to one hour. Some of the early shows were well written and
Regular art. Ran twenty years (1955 to 1975).
Gimmicks and / or peculiarities, etc.:
Early on, old Doc was often drunk as a skunk, but he sobered as the years passed. The Bull's
Main sedan as an alternative to harsher Miss Kitty's Longbranch. The house near the pond,
was often used in scenes from the city to set.
Great line:
"Because we're going to bushwhack em", as said by a very early and very UN-Matt Matt, Chester,
Chester when asked why they were hiding in a hut with some thugs around.
3. The Andy Griffith Show
This show has always been very therapeutic for me to watch. . . something about I can not
my finger on, let's just say that if an episode I've seen, I do not care, I will
more involved, because I just want to Mayberry, and it does not matter to me what they
doing there.
Gimmicks and / or peculiarities, etc.:
Drunk Otis who have access to the keys as he locked up for his weekly lit. Andy is a piece
more "Hillbilly" in the earlier episodes, his pants around his nerdy sometimes clumsilly fixed
boots. Floyd Barber's almost crazy. . . as in crazy. Goober say "Yo." Gomer saying "Tell
'Em Gomer says hey. "Very fake downtown Mayberry drafted as background mural outside the courthouse
door. Various love interests for Andy: Elinor Donahue, Joanne Moore (Tatum O'Neal's mother), Julie
Adams, Anita What Helen played for a long term. (I was more a fan Thelma Lou, they
looked remarkably like Olivia De Havilland).
Memorable lines:
Goober: "Judy, Judy, Judy. "
Gomer: Shazam! "
4. M * A * S * H
Great cast. We have all seen, So let me just blurb about the characters:
Hawkeye: Great, except when there are too many Hawkeye, as when he was trying to stay awake
by babbling in the Korean family, unfortunately for him housing. Do not get me wrong – I
love the role.
Trapper:
Annoyingly for me, a little too costly with raised eyebrows and shoulder shrugs.
BJ:
Better before the mustache, and he seemed like a chip on his shoulder
If unsure of his masculinity, everyone must get under the cheese of the mustache.
Klinger:
Better before he became "Christianized" – I think you know what I mean, if you've seen, only one
just too nice, a little too enthusiastic.
Hot Lips:
I surrender. Lead me to Margaret In her tight sweater and tight pants, especially when her
hair was parted in the middle, and they are too thin and lost most of the Hot Lipsishness.
There However, a nasty scene with her when she and Charles were some canned food, bird
they were sick with it – her teeth were quite yellow, and she looked kind of gross cram
themselves.
Father Mulcahey:
The excitement dropped a foot when he was given a line. Sorry.
Charles E. Winchester:
Important role, very noble and again … justy but barely, as when he conceded a number of general molested
Hot Lips and not vice versa.
Radar:
Zen and Taoist center of the cast, always trying to hide his poor deformed left hand, often
behind a clipboard, as if each of us that something. (Pat Hingle, who guested as
General Daniel Webster Tucker was missing a finger and not try to hide.)
Henry Blake:
Laugh riot; could have cried when he was slain.
Colonel Sherman T. Potter
One of the most irritating roles ever, one of those old Grump who thinks he is a natural treasure
and that people want him to ruminate barren clichés. Pretty much played the same stupid role
in Dragnet (see below).
5. Alias Smith & Jones
Great show, because of the charming leads, Pete Duel and Ben Murphy. Pete, who committed suicide
during the run of the show, was replaced by Roger Davis, who was on the original story of the
lead-in theme. Mr. Davis was not as sympathetic as Mr. Duel, though he was sufficiently in the
role. There were some great guests, like Burl Ives, and some beauties like Michelle Lee, Claudine
Longet, Susan Strasberg & Sally Fields. The show is said a start on the popularity of the
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid movie.
Gimmicks and / or peculiarities, etc.:
The promise of amnesty for their crimes are only on the horizon, but somehow always
out of range, the recurring Devil's Hole gang.
6. Law & Order
We all know this show has run for years and has the most tortuous and interesting plots, so
Let's Get Down to the good stuff: the rating of the female ADAS and for their attractiveness. (The
The list below gives you the best as # 1.)
1. Angie Harmon – That voice, which she could see the death emasculate any male offender,
her model looks, and oh, she is from Texas!
2. Carey Lowell – the word is cute made for these fresh faces, serious Bond girl, if they
good enough for Richard Gere, she's good enough for you.
3. Jill Hennessey – a different model quality girl with a hoarse voice, exqusite bobbed hair, oh,
how brutal her slain!
4. Annie Parisse – perhaps best of all, but it seemed to run short for me; narrated by
marriage with Sam Waterston in real life, I believe, another of them slain, they choke on her
own vomit.
5. Alana de la Garza – have not seen that much of this girl, but she is a stunner with the carved
functions.
6. Elisabeth Röhm – oh, dear, this girl was nice and pretty enough, but while she was
attractive, above the other girls were absolutely magnetic, it is probably the blonde
her, and she looks at me free much like any other blond.
7. Dragnet
This cop show was so grave and quaint, it was great, and I could not take off my eyes. I
Only had much exposure to the later (reborn) the issue of color in the early sixties. I think
producer and star Jack Webb was trying to do LAPD a great fun with this show, back in those
crazy era, in an attempt to demonstrate that the police were not so bad, but it was often quite heavily on the hand

Jack Webb barely move his arms as he walked stiff as a board. "Just the Facts", "Howzat?" Look
Kent McCord as an officer for Jim Reed, without Martin Milner, Adam 12. Look for Bobby Troup (such as
a bartender, perpetrator, etc.), who wrote classic song "Route 66" and was married Jack Webb's ex-
wife, Julie London, Bobby who later starred in emergencies.
8. The Waltons
This show was born from the excellent and now classic Christmas movie The Homecoming. Seven kids
1930-'40 live in Virginia with their parents and paternal grandparents. Many heartwarming
episodes. Slow episodes always relate to a moody Olivia. I had a big crush on Erin! My favorite
episode was about a class reunion of John's (Ralph Waite's) high school class, with different
of his former classmates of the warmest tributes gave to John, John was my favorite character.
And gimmicks or quirks, etc.:
The old family truck, which seemed to be held together with chewing gum and chicken wire. Papa's
(Ralph Waite's) old longjohns looked like they would stand up by himself whether he ever took them
, and she stood in a corner. The woodenness the replacement of Richard Thomas as John Boy
left the show. Did you know that Mama (Michael Learned) is not really old enough to be John Boy's
(Richard Thomas) mother in real life, because there were only twelve years difference in their
ages?
9. Dallas
This was not just a show around my house on Friday night, it was an event! We would pop popcorn
and all gather around the set. Let me blurb about some of the characters:
JR: Who shot this man? When evil came like a lead, but he had a deep sense of family. . . unless,

Jock: The patriarch always seemed too robust for the sissy settings, including breakfast be
