Keys to Successful Art
Are you a novice artist, or maybe just someone who dabbles in art, whether painting, drawing, sketching, sculpting or another avenue of art? Or perhaps you are someone who has been involved in art for a while but are still frustrated at times and thinking about giving up art as a hobby or professional company. If you are such a person or just someone who loves art in general, I have a few key concepts you should keep in mind when it comes to your work you might help of getting burned or stop altogether.
1-Passion!
The First Key Concept I would like to discuss is passion. Without passion or desire your art does not much and will really just a drawing, painting or what have you. Also, without passion you will not want to stick with the art not only as a professional but also as a fun hobby! If you are into art and really love it you are going to want things you're passionate about it, that may be something of a cause such as endangered flora and fauna, historical love as a specific period or maybe you just love people and want to catch them on paper, canvas or sculpture. What you are passionate about your need to tap into the creation of truly great art without passion for art is very boring, like anything else in life and to face, art is not a hum-drum area you want to give some skin, what life and if you're passionate about something that shows in your artwork.
2-PRACTICE Practice
The next item I want to discuss something that is very clearly still often overlooked and that is PRACTICE. You need to practice every day if you want to get better and where you want to get. That's right, if you sketch, paint or sculpt. I'm not saying you 4-5 hours per day on the practice when amount is not as important as stabbing with it. For example, the practice of five one day and then maybe the next 20 minutes and then not practice for a few days you will not continue as just practice one hour a day faithfully. If you want to practice 5 hours a day, that's great, but just be sure you can stick with and make a reasonable allocation of time you will not as far as you want to go.
3-knowing when to stop
This is equally if not more important than practicing, because believe me, I've been there, you you frustrated with your drawing or painting, and if you have a stubborn streak like me, you want to keep going til you just RIGHT. But the more you continue, the more frustrated you get And the sketch or painting or what have you, is not true. I know that it is difficult for some of us to do this, but if you are frustrated or losing focus, it is time to a break. That could mean 5 minutes, 2 hours or a few days, what it takes for you to get back in the positive spirit. Believe me, I have this boat many times and I'm not someone who just sit idle, it makes me crazy, but I know it will continue to work on a piece frustrating me at the moment does not get me where, but my time wasting and blood pressure. There is no time limit on your creative process (unless it is for a class project or commission) So take your time and if you feel that you are angry and frustrated, take a break and something else to do.
4-Get to work!
This is where many people into trouble. They have the desire to draw, paint or sculpt, so they give it a and eventually the piece does not look anything like they wanted it and after a few more tries after the first or even try to give them completely. I'm here to tell you you can not let give yourself UP! That's the worst thing you can do. There are very few natural artists out there who whip up a perfect image on the first go and a look at your life, but Few things have you accomplished on the first attempt to mean something important, whether it be learning to ride your bike, ride, mathematics, acing tests, etc-it all came to you after training and trial / error so do not think that art is different because it is not. Stick with it and you will improve.
Do not Take the 5-Comparison Project
By this mean I we all tend to our talents or lack thereof with other people compare, whether our friends, family or professionals. It is only natural to do this, but is an excellent barrier! Everyone is different, that's just not how we look and act mean, but also our skills and talent and vision. You'll never paint like da Vinci Rembrandt or no matter how hard you try so take a no pressure on yourself that you will never be true. You need the best you can, not a copy of someone else. The sooner you realize this, the happier you become and the more confident you will be and that will show in your work.
6-Key-finals atleast for now-Have Fun
I know sure I will be adding a few more keys as time progresses, but for now this is my last, and it is absolutely KEY-have fun! It will not do you any well if you are not satisfied with sketching and painting and just do it because it's expected of you. If you do not like to have you well find another hobby or career choice, because you are unhappy and it will show in your work, you can not hide such a mentality.

What are the best universities in the U.S. for this type of art?
Sculpture, painting (preferably murals, abstracts, etc..), Graphic Design, interior design, and culinary arts. I would like to go to a school that teaches all of those things, I do not have to transfer many thanks .. for your help!
Parsons School of Design in New York I think Suzie Rotolo still learn if you're lucky
