Shopping for Hot Toys for 2007 Holiday Season
Each year there is a list of "must-have toys for the holidays and it seems that each year the gave more and more extravagant. As a toy reviewer and researcher for Kidazy.com I watch these toys upcoming on the market and after a while you begin to know which toys go to be successful to "Must-have holiday items. This year, however, does have some very affordable toys on the list for those of you who do not care if I have hundreds and hundreds U.S. dollars to get an over-priced, under-stocked toy of the season.
Transformers
Transformers are a must for children this year and the lucky part of this toys is that they are more than affordable, the unfortunate part of this toy is that they are getting harder and harder to find as the holiday season approaches. The best places to start with the search for the Transformers toys are your local Walmart and Target stores. Find online stores that carry the Transformers toys, but I recommend avoiding such sites Ebay where you will have to pay twice the value toys and immediately after the holidays you are going to be able to find anywhere these toys for their sales. If you can not find them in the regular stores at regular prices, my tip is to wrap up a gift certificate with a picture of the toys that you will get. DO NOT spend!
Bratz Dolls
Bratz have been great for years, but this year with the release of the Bratz movie they make a bigger comeback and new dolls are released compliment the movie release. The dolls are also fairly priced and rather easy to find in a toy store, but again if you can not find you want to keep looking, do not get ripped off for hundreds of dollars for something that is regularly priced right after the holiday. I do not think you will have a problem finding these toys for the holidays do have.
Wii
The Wii console is one of the high-end expensive gifts for this holiday season like last year, but they are a little easier to find than this season not too long. The cost of the console, $ 249.99, is more reasonable than most consoles out there and the interactivity of the unit makes a great gift for video game consoles are so many children. The consoles are currently in and from stock in most local stores (or smoke Arts and Targets or specialized video game stores.) starts consoles sold out right before Christmas though so if you plan on picking one this year to make sure you grab while you still find.
Playstation III
Playstation III is the highest end of the Christmas toy list this year. The reason was the hot toy list as a result of the recent price reduction. These consoles are much easier to find in stores this year than last, but like the Wii will they start to sell what the poet to the holiday season. When it comes down to the PSIII the Wii my choice would be the Wii because it encourages physical activity while PSIII urges on to more sedentary games.
Barbie
Barbie has always been and always will be a great gift idea for a child during the holiday season. Barbie is so affordable and collectible it ideal for parents of all social status to give as a gift. Also remember that every year there is a collectible Holiday Barbie released and make great additions to any Barbie collectors collection!
Nintendo DS and PSP
Both the Nintendo DS and PSP have dropped in price significantly declined since the first release. What I like about these two videos game systems is that they are both affordable and portable, making them extremely useful for families who must travel during the holidays. The PSP also plays movies that inches forward of the DS in terms of desirability, but both are affordable enough and clever enough to put it on the hot toys this holiday seasons list!
So there you have some ideas for holiday shopping this year! Make sure your shopping early to make sure your toy for the crazy shopping rush begins! Shopping early also helps ensure that your toys at retail price, and was not the end of overruns on auction sites and through third party vendors. Good luck in your cart and remember, do holiday shopping not cost a fortune!
