How do I set up my own animal shelter?
This question is for a friend with no internet access. She wants to set up her own shelter for abandoned pets (Mainly cats and dogs, but she lives in an old farm, so there is plenty of room for horses etc). She is retired and thus 100% of her time to animals give she has a very, very healthy bank balance that will go to cover any outbuilding tion in good, warm, dry room for the animals. She has experience of more than two dozen cats and dogs in a time and was a rider to a recent car accident where she lost a leg (but she can now walk / look fine). wow! good on her! I like this I would probably start, but the investigation of similar type shelters. Like finding where there are small shelters near by and talk with the owner to see how they first started. She also needed to start installing the equipment necessary for a company support like this. Cattery etc! And advertising as it probably would run off sponsorship advertisement, so they would need to start looking at all the various possibilities, otherwise the company just eat yourself! I wish her the best!
