How a Miracle helped Down Syndrome Child Tie Her Shoes

Little Miss Sarah! Mystical, magical, beautiful Sarah! Everyone who meets her is blessed beyond words. Her purity and joy for life are exceptional.
When Sarah was born the doctors told me: "They be able to live on her own. "Not true.
"They have a very limited vocabulary." Not true.
"They will never able to think abstractly. "Certainly not!
"They will never be able to tie her shoes." Well, she ties her shoes very well, thank you!
As the mother of five children, two of whom are genetically different with Down syndrome, I ran a pretty tight ship. While I managed to get the machines working at keep a daily basis, there was a job that seemed insurmountable matching, folding and sorting of socks. Imagine seven people, ranging in age from 3 to 38 years. How many socks are we talking about? With the pragmatic mother, I turned an old apple crate in a "sock basket" I threw all the socks. Everyone was expected to a pair of socks corresponding with each other and adjust to find their feet. Once I was totally embarrassed when Sarah, then three years old, removed her shoes to her day program, and walked around with big long white stockings. She wore big brother Erick's socks!
An attempt to maintain a sense of civilization, I have a few "rules" to Special Kids used, as well as rules: "Keep your hands on your body." (Ie no hit, pinch or tickle) and "No teasing allowed." This rule was necessary because once a kid learns something special they can not "unlearn" itteasing teaches them the "wrong" way and it's just nice to the person the plagues, not to the recipient. Oh, I had a classic line "If you fight, you can kiss." This rule, though unpopular, was a long way in preventing of battles between siblings and friends.
But it was the next line, an exciting event that is asked, ". If you can, change" It was as follows:
If you can dress yourself, you should. If your bed, you should. If you tie your shoes, you should.
I was maintaining the "shoe" rule One morning, when Sarah was about five years old. She had just learned how to tie her shoes, and in accordance with the rule I gave her enough time to do it.
We lived in a large two-story, split-level house with a huge lobby, which leads to four broad steps up to the living room. Sarah helped me get settled on the bottom step unlaced her shoes, her feet so they can easily slide into them. "OK, honey, tie your shoes. I'll be back in one minute."
I would went two three minute at the most. And when I returned to see how Sarah did, both shoes were tied PERFECT! These were the most amazing bows I have ever seen! Not depend entirely on one side. They were absolutely centered. Moreover, all four loops of both arches were exactly alike. I'm sure this is an impossible feat. I've been tying My shoes for 55 years and I've never been so precise.
"Sarah! How did you do that?" I asked pointing to her feet. "How do you tie your shoes so fast? "
"Oh, Jesus came and tied my shoes," she explained.
"He did?" I was amazed at her response and questioned her further. "What did he look like?"
"He was white," she replied.
"Was he wearing white?" I wondering if this was something she had learned about in Sunday school.
"No, he was all shiny and white."
Well, I knew that answer did not come of a Sunday school lesson. Besides, she said it with such conviction and sincerity. I could not accuse her of making it all upher shoes were tied in record time precision than merely human power!
For 25 years I have been thinking about this event again and again. I was so distracted with all my duties and I almost missed deadlines, but Sarah did not. She got it! It was a miracle.
This event has convinced me that a lot of children live closer to the source (or God) than adults. Well, cour sewe all came from the Source and the infant, the baby, the innocent can still "see" Source and communicate freely.
When you think of it, is not that what we all trying to do? Finding our way back to the Source? Find a way to "see" with our pure angel eyes once more.
I'm just starting to come live with this miracle and more than two dozen others I've been privileged to observe or participate in. I have concluded that "A miracle is a welcome outcome that flies in the face of rational thought. "
As well, there is a soft gentle voice telling me,
"It is time, time to talk about miracles, the time and talk time to teach. "

Ladies, do you ever smelly feet from wearing shoes without socks? How can the odor be prevented?
I ask because I just got a pair of flats. I no socks with their cause, you know, it runs counter to the look. I tried small stock such as socks, but they also show, they are not small enough. And these shoes when I to wear, my feet stink! I think they sweat too much. Normally, when wearing shoes with socks, I did not have this problem. I tried this fragrance eating insoles and a deodorant spray for feet, and the little work, but they still smell funny. Help!
