Barbie makes a comeback
After almost 50 years on top, Barbie has to fight to stay around the # 1 Fashion Doll.
For people with other things in their life besides controversial plastic dolls, Barbie has had a difficult period of the last few years. For nearly five decades, Barbie has been the leading icon of fashion world. But in an instant everything changed. The classic good looks, multiple vehicles and dream houses were not good enough – new fashion dolls had arrived in a big way.
The four teenagers in urban fashion dolls dressed offered something new toys girls looking to date. Barbie would be a modern princess, but these four girls were "real". Barbie Bratz had an edge that just could not compete with, and that was a dramatic shift in 2001, after four decades of essentially no competition in the fashion doll market.
Struck by an urban attack, Barbie did not have much of an initial reaction. Same style of the doll was updated over the years the current styles demographics and the current display, but even the different styles of Barbie still maintained a more preppy look. Bratz were not preppy, and they were not always sweet and helpful. Bratz are not just slightly younger and thus more appropriate for youthful styles, they steal one from girls who always wanted something sharper Barbie.
Barbie felt the sting rejection of the sale of the popular doll dropped thirty percent in the United States in three years. But Barbie was not the game just yet. Not only is she still a great crowd fans, including girls of all ages, she also had a great deal of fighting spirit. Barbie broke in 2004 with Ken to try the singles scene.
The split the couple Ken also underwent some changes and came back more attractive and more stylish than ever. The changes made numerous curious about a renewed romance, publicists for Barbie but to his least one new relationship to deny. Then, possibly seeing the benefits of a makeover, Barbie has one himself. Expanding her wardrobe and her appearance changed slightly in 2007. The interest on a redesigned Barbie and Ken started the comeback blonde.
Barbie is not moving from the top position without a strong fight, and so far she is not pulling any punches. In fact, Bratz to feel the heat. In 2005, Mattel sued Bratz manufacturer MGA Entertainment over the My Scenes dolls, Barbie was a part. The lawsuit is still pending, and the My Scene dolls are already fading in favor of other doll lines, but Mattel is no doubt that the Bratz just could not come without resistance.
Not only are new doll lines is made to compete with each other, Barbie continues her comeback online. Barbie Barbie games on the Internet provide new grounds to the fans to reach and expand its fans. Girls who may not enjoy a real Barbie doll play with Barbie dress up games online and loving it. Online versions of Barbie accessories unlimited possibilities and endless wardrobe. New styles are released every day and no plastic doll can compete with that.
