Sleep in the Bible and Quran
Before going with the theme of the Fly in Quran versus Bible versus sciences, it is essential to remember that the total words of the Bible are 788,280 while total words of the Quran are 77,473. It follows that the Bible is the potential of more than 10 times the Quran to talk about the Sleep-WISE word has.
Moreover, sleep is called bible and 107 in 9 times the Quran
The Drag in the sciences:
Sleep is a natural intermittent state of rest for the mind and body, where close your eyes and almost lost consciousness, so that a drop off in physical activity and response to external stimuli. During sleep, the brains experience a cycle characteristic of the brains-wave activity that includes intervals of dreaming.
Regular sleep is essential for the health and survival.
Man robbed of sleep for two or three weeks will suffer from both physical and mental health.
However, many aspects regarding the exact mechanism or cause of the process of sleep is still difficult to understand.
Sleep in the Bible:
God grants sleep to those he loves
Psalm 127:2
"In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat, for he grants sleep to those he loves. "
Some Biblical proposals on sleep:
– Leviticus 2:47 p.m.
"Anyone who sleeps or eats in the house must wash his clothes."
– Deuteronomy 24:13
"Return to cloak around him so he can sleep at sunset. "
– Psalm 68:13
"Even while you sleep among the campfires, the wings my Dove sheathed with silver, its feathers with shining gold. "
– Proverbs 3:24
"If you lie, your sleep will be sweet."
– Proverbs 6:10 and Proverbs 24:33
"A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest"
Proverbs 7:15 p.m.
"Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the awkward man goes hungry."
– Proverbs 11:34 p.m.

Do not sleep, the Bible commands us not to sleep in 13 verses:

"I will not sleep with my eyes, do not sleep on my eyelids,"

"Allow no sleep to your eyes, no sleep to your eyelids. "

"How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep?"

Proverbs 4:16
"Because they can not sleep till they do evil, they are deprived of sleep until they make someone fall. "

"Israel's watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge, they are all dumb dogs, they can not bark, they lie and dream, they love to sleep. "
2 Peter 2:03
"In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not slept. "
Moreover, that a certain number Biblical statements and their frequencies:
The expression of "deep sleep" is mentioned in verse 11
"He (Jesus) returned to his disciples and found them sleeping "is found in seven verses
"Could not sleep" is mentioned in three verses

– Wake up and do not always sleep
– Jesus was sleeping (Is God sleeping?)
– Could not sleep mentioned in three verses

– Peter slept (although Peter claims he rarely sleeps)
– The story of "Samson and Delilah was sleeping he took the seven braids of his head is given in five verses.
The Lord (the Father) Sleep?
Psalm 121:4
Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
Psalm 44:23
Awake, O Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Not always reject us.
Psalm 78:65
Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, like a man awakened from the stupor of wine.
The Drag in the Quran
The Sleep is a miracle and a sign of Allah, the Almighty:
Sura 30:23
"And among His signs is the sleep that ye take by night and day, and the quest that ye (make for livelihood) out of His Bounty: verily in that are Signs for those who listen. "
Allah created our sleep for rest
Sura 25:47
"It is He Who created the night to cover for you, and sleep for rest, and days (as it were) a revival."
Sura 78:9
And have Your sleep for rest,
Judgement Day will come, while some people are sleeping.
Sure 7:97
"Have the people of the cities feel secure against the coming of Our wrath by night while they sleep? "
Scientific, half the people will be at night and the other half days will be on time. Therefore, be careful.
The story of greedy collectors
Sura 68:19
"Then came the (garden) a visitation from thy Lord, (which swept away) around while they slept. "
This verse is speaking about a productive narrative that describes some greedy collector "Men who did not give the right donations to the poor and Allah punished them.
The first battle:
Sura 8:43
"Do not forget to your dream Allah showed them to you as a few that he had shown as much to you, ye would surely have been discouraged, and ye would surely have disputed in (your) decision: but Allah saved (you) for he knows well the (secrets) of (all) hearts. "
This verse speaks of the first battle between Muslims (300 persons) and unbelievers (1000 soldiers) and the Muslims won.
Abraham scarifies:
Sura 37:102
"Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son I see in vision that I offer you in sacrifice: Now see what you think!" (The son) said: "Father, do as thou art commanded: thou shalt me, if Allah wills, one practicing Patience and perseverance! "
This verse tells the story of Abraham and his son. Abraham saw in his dream, he scarifies his son.
What is sleep?
The Quranic definition of sleep
Sura 39:42
"It is Allah that it needed" Nafs "(of men) at death, and those that die not (He takes) during their sleep: those to whom He has passed the decree of death He keeps back (to return to life), but the rest He sends (to their bodies) for a term appointed. Verily in this are signs for those who reflect. "
This is the definition put Allah Made Who sleep.
During the process of sleep, Allah takes our 'Nafs' when we sleep, and return our "Nafs" when we awake.
This means that sleep is a form of incomplete death.
What is nafs?
Man is composed of three parts, body, soul, and the "nafs"
All of us know the body. We have no idea about the soul, but the simple definition is that life and it is eternal.
The "Nafs" is the ego. It's when you say "I".
It follows that God, our "Nafs" or ego away while we sleep and return our "Nafs" when we are awake.
Much research is needed to go through this Quranic definition of Sleep. I suggest many ideas to explore this Quranic statement, but unfortunately I did not have the right machines and exercise equipment.
Allah never naps, sleeps or rests
Sura 2:255
Allah! There is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal, Eternal. No sleep can seize Him nor sleep. Are all things in heaven and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except by His permission? He knows what (appeareth to His creatures) before or behind them. And they can do nothing of His knowledge except what he wants. His throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is Most High, the Supreme (in glory).
It is imperative for Muslims to believe that God never sleeps.
The faith emphasizes the fact that Allah never naps, and if someone sleeps or rests claims that Allah is ever naps, slumbers or sleeps, he must wait for the eternal hell in the afterlife, because of the "unpardonable sin".
Now, I think the smart unbiased reader knows very well the response of this dogmatic question "Is the Quran quoted from the Bible?".
