Peonies 'Krinkled White' and 'Vivid Rose'
Add Old-fashioned beauty to your garden
They are either an old fashioned beauty and durability have made them a perennial favorite of gardeners. Before being introduced in North America thousands of years ago they were grown in gardens around the world. There is evidence that peonies were used for medicinal purposes in Europe over 2000 years ago, during the reign of Emperor Yang (605-617) in China, they were grown as ornamentals. Peonies were introduced into North America during the 1830s and their popularity has only increased since then. This week we took two of our favorite Peonies – '. Vivid Rose 'Krinkled White' and
"Krinkled White '
"Krinkled White ' Peony is a simple and classic – large single, snow-white petals around a cushion of rich golden stamens and pistils green. "Krinkled White 'is a beautiful contrast with the more usual double blooms. The wavy-edge, crepe paper-like petals form a bowl shape that can 5 to 7 inches in diameter. The stems are straight and strong and not flop in the garden. "Krinkled White" is ideal for a cut floral display. Easy-to-grow and a prolific bloomer.
'Vivid Rose'
'Vivid Rose' has large, fully double, brilliant pink flowers that actually glow in the garden! Introduced in 1952 by renowned Klehm family, it remains a favorite of gardeners, not only for its beautiful flowers, but for the sweet smell. The blooms may reach 6 to 8 inches across. Like 'Krinkled White ',' Vivid Rose 'has stiff stems with disease-resistant, crinkled deep green leaves that stays right in the fall.
Planting and maintenance
Both 'Krinkled White' and 'Vivid Rose' is very hardy and once established, are one of the longest living perennials available – for a period of more than 50 years! Expect them to reach about 30 inches high, with the beautiful display of flowers in spring. The magazine is a beautiful pol round – making the peony bushes are more than perennials. When cut in the almost-open bud stage, opening them in water and last for about one week inside. Cut flowers do not the first or second year. Make sure you spent flowers to prevent seed formation cutting.
Early to mid autumn is the best time to plant peony as it may take time their roots to settle. Your peonies will spend his first year getting established and will not be floriferous.
- Prefer an area with full sun but will tolerate some shade. Good drainage is essential. An alkaline soil is preferred but not essential.
- Mix lot of compost, such as Chesapeake Blue, in the soil at planting. Fertilize and lamp-Tone in early spring. When planting, no fertilizer directly to plant roots, but the soil away from roots. Peonies should lightly fertilized again after flowering.
- Plant with the "eyes" exactly 1 1 / 2 inches below the soil level. Water well after planting.
- Mulch with 2 inches of shredded hardwood mulch after ground is frozen. Remove the mulch in early spring.
- Hardy in zones 3-8.

I've looked online and have only found the Disney Princess theme. Is there a website that lagit party favors (plates, cups, balloons, napkins), just from the snow white? If someone has to throw a snow-white party can you give me ideas?
