Fruit is a fat?
When dieting, or just trying to eat healthy, many people try to stick to fruits and vegetables for their snacks. However, many the fab diets can not eat fruit because the glycemic load, or sugar. So what's the deal? Compared to many alternative unhealthy snacks, fruit and vegetables are a good choice are the healthiest way to sugar, but you have to understand that many fruits are in fact very high in sugar and if you try to lose weight, you may want to limit some of them. Fresh fruits are a good snack and are filled with vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants, so you do not want to just cut them out of your diet. It is recommended that the average adult takes into 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables per day, or according to the USDA take 1.5-2 cups of vegetables per day. So which fruits are best to give you the vitamins and nutrients? What is too much here are a few tips to remember when choosing your snack:
- Avoid dried fruit, the process of drying the fruit concentrates the sugar
- Avoid fruit juices, like most of the nutrients lost in processing, and often even more sugar is added
- Many people realize that the typical fruit juices Children are not the best choice for their children. Try to get your children to drink more water, and if you give them juice, water down first.
- Try to avoid fruits with high sugar check the following list when choosing your fruit.:
Fruits lowest in sugar:
- Cranberries
- Blackberries
- Raspberries
Fruits with low to moderate amounts of sugar:
- Strawberries
- Apricots
- Watermelon
- Blueberries
- Peaches
- Cantaloupe
- Honeydew Melon
- Apples
Fruits high in sugar:
- Plums
- Pears
- Kiwi
- Oranges
- Pineapple
- Cherries
- Grapes
- Mangos
- Banana
