Beat the Heat this summer – Sun 10 smart ways to stay protected
As summer begins, it's time to brush your sun safety practices and to set get to beat the heat. With the continued increase in the incidence of cancer of the skin, it is extremely important to protect your skin against the negative effects of the Sun

1. Triple Sun Protection
If you are planning to spend much time out in the sun, like the beach or tennis courts, make sure you lather on a triple layer of protection against the sun ….
Clean your skin and apply an antioxidant-based product to protect against free radical damage.
Apply a sunscreen chemical that prevents the sunrays thus intrinsic damage. Consider using a double duty product like La Roche Posay Anthelios SX, a moisturizer plus sunscreen.
Top with a water and sweat resistant sunscreen, preferably one with zinc oxide, which will reflect most of the rays away from the skin surface.
2. Use Broad Spectrum Formula
Use a sunscreen formula that protects against UVB and UVA rays of the Sun Some of the ingredients to consider are:
UVA blockers – Mexoryl, Helioplex 360, photo active barrier complex, Avobenzone
UVB blockers – Homosalate, Octosalate, octyl methoxycinnamate
UVA and UVB – octocrylene, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide.
3. Reapply every few hours
To ensure all-round protection against sunburn guarantee you must re-apply your sunscreen every few hours, especially if you are spending lots of time outside. In fact, a general guideline using a shot glass full of sunscreen all over your body.
4. Use half a teaspoon of sunscreen on your face

6. Wear protective clothing

7. Eat a balanced diet & Fresh
The summer brings a variety of fruits and vegetables. So put your hands on some fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables such as pomegranates and blueberries. This will not only hydrate your skin, but also provide essential vitamins and antioxidants.
8. Avoid Sun Susceptible Ingredients
If your skin is very sensitive to sunburn, avoid using skin care products containing glycolic acid or salicylic acid if you are outside in the sun contains. These ingredients increase skin sensitivity to the sun and a stinging sensation when you sweat.
9. Keep yourself hydrated

burning hands and feet, while outside in the sun?
whenever im outside in the sun (summer only) and my feet burn and hurt my toes red. he do it every time im out, but when I go inside and cool down it stops. my hands have the burning sensation but also not as bad as my feet. has anyone ever had and had it checked out? plz let me kno what it is if you know it really hurts
yes I too have that. Sometimes it itches too. I use talcum powder and then come down. Wash your hands and feet when you go home. Try not to go in the late afternoon.
