Same name. Different Spelling. Which do you like better?
I am not pregnant and I do not intend to become pregnant for a long time. I was just wondering what spelling people like better. You also have a tendency to Jamey such as names ending in "ie" or "Y"? Cate or Kate? Alivia or Olivia? Zac or Zack or Zach? Jamee and Jamie or? John or Jon? Cheryl or Sheryl? Claire or Clare or Clair? Rebecca or Rebekah? Sidney and Sydney? Eva or Ava Ana or Anna? Isobel or Isabelle? Dylan or Dillon? Robin or Robyn? Catherine or Katherine? Chelsea or Chelsie or Chelsey? Ashlee or Ashley or Ashlie? Camdyn or Camden? Tristan and Tristin? Jesse or Jessie or Jessey? Katy, or Katie or Katee? Any others you know of? Thanks for your answers! Melanie or Melony? Vinessa or Vanessa? Let me just say that I know that Eva and Ava, and Ana and Anna are pronounced differently.
Kate, although Both are cute, I love the look of the sharper K. Cate looks softer, but still very sweet. Olivia, for sure! Alivia seems made-up for me. Zach is my favorite because The full name is usually Zachary, Zackary not fun. Sheryl. Cheryl looks too close to the word cherry for me. Rebeka without-h is my favorite. The two c's just seem strange to me lol. Clair. It's fun and fresh, but the other two are nice and spelling (especially Clare, who looks more mature and elegant). Well, Sidney for a boy and a girl in Sydney is how I look at them lol. The extra-y makes the name more feminine to me. Ava. I like the palindrome effect lol. I would like Eve, instead of Eve. Anna. Without the two n's, the name just seems incomplete. Isobel. Much less common and much better for me, and more sensible apparent or otherwise, without the extra frilly ls. Dylan is my favorite. Dillon looks too close to the herb dill for me and reminds me of smoked salmon sandwiches lol. Robin, both boy or girl. In general, I do not like when y's have been replaced for i (in Sydney is an exception lol). Katherine. Catherine with a C is great as well, but Catie does not look so appealing to me as Katie. Plus, with a K, there are more options that nickname will not interfere with her initials: Kit, Kitty, Katy, Karen, Kara, Kari, etc. Chelsea. Not many names end with one-EA, and it looks so beautiful and elegantly in this way. Ashley. I love this name, and honestly, it already has enough of a reputation without spelling blond with poofy, super-girly with two e's (Which I hate in general), leigh-s en-ie 's. Camden. Again, the y-place-i of thing irritates me lol. It makes a perfectly good name too trendy. Tristan. It looks more solid that way. For a girl, Jessie. As a nickname yet, while her real name is slightly longer as Jessica or Jessamine. Katy is actually my favorite at the moment, although the classical Katie is still very beautiful. Melanie is my favorite, if only because the most common spelling. As a general thing though, for some names, I do not like the ending-ie. Like Jessie would be placed on the birth certificate of someone, I would prefer the spelling Jesse. It is, usually, unless the spelling is always used, makes the name seem more a nickname than a real one. But if it is only a nickname, I usually really like the spelling-ie. They look cute lol. And by the way, have tons of names you might like to debate about the spelling. Amelia or Emilia? Gisele or Giselle? Marguerite or Margaret? Nicolas or Nicholas? Mark or Marc? Johnathan or Jonathan? Maddie and Mady? Elizabeth or Elizabeth? Megan or Meagan or Meghan? Nicole or Nichole? May or Mae? Ray or Rae? Leeann or Liane or Lee-Anne? The list could go on and on lol.
