Tooth Fairy

How much does the Tooth Fairy give a tooth?
The Tooth Fairy is a frequent visitor in American homes since the beginning of 1900. The idea of a magic pixie exchange money for teeth has helped generations of children from the unpleasant and often frightening process of losing their baby teeth. Most lose all 20 by the age of 12, and although they are old enough not to believe in fairies longer, most families play the game until the end. It is an expression of love for our children to console them for their loss. When My son recently told me that my husband and his first wiggly tooth had followed our own memories of tooth exchanges. We both remember receiving a silver dollar for each tooth, but was wondering if we need to calculate inflation.
I discovered through online research that a lady named Rosemary Wells, a former professor at Northwestern University Dental School and an expert on Tooth Fairy Lore, a study monitoring the amount the tooth fairy left teeth from 1900 to 1980. The results were that indeed the Tooth Fairy keeps pace with today's economy. I wish I had been able to verify the actual study as a whole look. I would like to see the current rates from year to year. Instead I asked my friends what their current rates among them, and most told me $ 5.
Somehow, however, the night when the tooth finally came his debut as a surprise for us, and everything we had in the house was a $ 20 bill. It was actually a miracle that we had that since we rarely have money. Our son was very happy in the morning, and we had to explain that just because the first tooth is so special that he got so much. From then on we kept a small stock of $ 5 bills hidden in the house only to use Tooth Fairy.
I was still curious to see how the price of a tooth had risen over the years, so I decided my own small scale study on and all my friends and family to. I received responses from 25 cents all the way to $ 100 per tooth! The majority of people who responded their baby teeth lost in the year 1960 and unanimously remember 50 cents per tooth.
I looked at the average prices for the year 1960, and found that a loaf of bread costs 25 cents. Therefore, if Tooth Fairy wanted their children to take money and buy bread (humor me), she would have been capable of 2 loaves per tooth to get. The average price for a loaf of today is $ 3, so 2 to ensure that children can buy bread, she would need to get $ 6. A survey of 150 toy Moms in 2006, and found that the average amount they gave a one tooth was $ 3. TSK! TSK! This means that parents today are only half as generous as their parents that their children can only buy a loaf.
Approximately 25% of people believe that larger teeth are worth more, and give more choice. The amount also seems to vary by location. In some areas, $ 20 – $ 25 per tooth is average. I recommend ask your kids what others have friends and ask before your child loses that first tooth so you can be the going rate for your area to determine. You do not want more than others (other parents blame when their children complain) to give, and you do not want to give too little or your child will desperately think that something is wrong with his teeth.
If you are unable or unwilling the average pay, I came across a posting with a really clever explanation. You can say that the Tooth Fairy sets with the same amount of money every night. If only a few children who have lost teeth, they get a sizeable amount of money, and like many children at night, each gets a smaller share of the pot. Pretty ingenious! However, if you excuse, I at least once, you come with the higher amount, so you can say: "Well, finally, were you as happy as your friends".
My husband and I decided to take $ 5 per tooth, plus a $ 1 coupon for bread stick.

Should children be raised with the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus?
I read a psychological study that said children who believed in the Tooth Fairy and the Santa Claus will be more creative, but were unable to accurately tell the facts. My questions are: How were you raised? That way, you / would you do to your children? And why?
I think childhood is the only good time to believe in magic … and eventually as they grow slowly Parents should explain / guide to reality …. Remind yourself I think as you were little world would be too boring for a child without a little magic …
