Nokia 7705 Twist in a small but efficient design
Earlier this year, the Nokia 7705 Twist is a new approach to the design of messaging devices. The Twist has a swivel design, along with a full QWERTY keyboard that comes out with a 90 degree rotation of the spine. The phone is indeed very light weighing only 96.4 grams and its small foldable design makes it perfect to suit every pocket. In the lower right corner of the handset has a hollow ring that acts as the hinge of rotation. Folded the phone looks very mini connector but it extends to 114.3mm long, when unfolded. Made of high quality plastic and chrome, it comes with a built- that feels solid in the hand.
Twist the Nokia 7705 comes with a 2.4 inch TFT color screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Below the screen we find a pair of soft keys that are touch-sensitive with a large 5-way navigation key. This unit is opened with a smooth spring assisted swivel to reveal the QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard is Comes with 5 rows of keys that up nicely positioned and separately useful text as possible. The top of the keyboard has a row of shortcuts for quick access to music, entertainment, messaging and camera to record. This device is a dual-band CDMA phone that also supports 3G service network. All in all, the phone offers decent reception with a beautiful and clear sound quality. The internal memory in the phone is 256MB, which can be easily extended using an external memory card into the card slots. Phonebook this one allows a user to add up to 1000 contacts with multiple entries and fields for each contact. The entire unit is powered by a standard Li-Ion 860 mAh battery that gives a talk time of up to 4 ½ hours and apart from a standby time of almost 13 days.
Messaging options in the Nokia 7705 Twist are available in the form of SMS, MMS, e-mail and IM with integrated support for popular email services like Hotmail and Gmail as well as access to corporate servers like Microsoft Exchange. This phone is also equipped with Bluetooth, that allows easy exchange of data between compatible devices other than letting the user to a wireless headset to connect. Also included is a built- GPS receiver with A-GPS support. This phone can be used as a navigator for the voice turn-by-turn directions, available for an additional monthly fee. Instant Mobile Internet can be accessed with a built-Polaris-powered web browser, capable of loading full HTML version of websites.
Packed in the Nokia 7705 Twist March 1 mega pixel camera that comes with an auto-focus and digital zoom function. A handful of other features like flash, white balance and color effects are also included. The media player On the other hand, a standard rate of playback of MPEG4 and MP3. Playlist is immediately available on the handset and you can browse songs by artist, album, genre or playlist.
The phone is currently only available in black, with Xpress-on covers in black and purple. Other key features in the Nokia 7705 includes a built Twist mirror, USB, Voice command / dial, speaker, Calendar, Calculator, To-Do, Stopwatch etc.
