Small Business to Big Business: The Walt Disney Company
The Walt Disney Company, which was founded on October 16, 1923 has a long and rich history. But it is a history that never would have existed if not for the perseverance of one man. That man was of course Walt Disney, who along with his brother Roy O. Disney were the founders The Walt Disney Company. Of course The Walt Disney Company has a long and colorful history that has many books already written about. So we'll just refer to a specific area of the story. Walt Disney's perseverance.
You see, Walt Disney was a man who would not give up whatever happens. No matter how many setbacks he had that he did not know when to stop. So how did he get? Well early in Walt Disney's life he got in the first drawing cartoons for his school newspaper and after the First World War, he began working for newspapers and magazines. He would draw cartoons and advertising work for them not to pay his bills.
It was through this work that a fellow artist he met with the name of Ubbe Iwerks. Together they would form the Walt Disney's first attempt at building a business. This was in 1920 and the company was known as Disney-Iwerks Commercial Artists. Unfortunately, the business had a difficult start and soon had to be closed. But Walt Disney was not ready.
His next job led him into the field of the animation. It is true he really left his mark on the world. Walt Disney was soon ready for his next attempt at building his own studio. One would be known as the O smile Gram Studio. The name came from a series of cartoons that Walt Disney was producing for a local Kansas City theater operator. And it was almost a success. Walt Disney's inability to deal money would be his downfall this time around. And so after the company went bankrupt. Walt Disney packed his bags and moved to Hollywood, California.
This time around Walt was a team with his brother Roy O. Disney. Roy was a former banker, so he knew how the money side of the house hold, while Roy would handle the creative side. And so the Disney Brother Studio was born. And it started with a hit. Known as the Alice Comedies the studio began to turn a number of short films based on the story Alice in Wonderland. They would prove to be very successful and would lead to a different character Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
Walt Disney had a recent bump in the road before eventually successful. You see Walt had made the mistake of selling the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit distributor. And now the distributor wanted to cut the fares they paid. Further pressure on the Disney brothers They threatened to hire people who actually were doing work on Oswald the Lucky Rabbit away from Disney and they would form their own studio to do the job. Walt Disney would not give way and he lost both Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and most of its staff.
After what happened was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit Walt Disney found his studio in need to a replacement character. And so Mickey Mouse was born. The rest of the story you probably know as Mickey would become very popular. But Mickey would not be here today if Walt Disney wished. It was through his perseverance that The Walt Disney Company would become a reality. And millions of children can get a hug each year, a big hairy mouse.

How to sign a world of Walt Disney?
Has anyone had any experience working as a sign of Walt Disney World? Another job or work there? How old you need and stuff?
I think everybody thinks they want a sign that they think are working at Disneyworld. It sounds great in theory, but I personally hate my costume in the summer now as I to work outside. I'd hate to have a full match. Whatever his very best attended and there is a long list of people who want to do it. You have to go through a series of casting calls. It's a totally different department than your normal recruitment process. You are considered entertainment department. They have certain height requirements, you MUST play. The princesses wear so much makeup that race / skin color and such really little. I belieive you only need 18 to work in entertainment.
