Brief history of nurses in the Civil War
The Civil War was a historic event for everyone in the United States. There were many men who fought and many women would have the opportunity to support the soldiers in the war. There is no real evidence that the number of women involved in that event to show. But some Historians estimate that up to 10,000 women who are nurses. Most of them willingly themselves to prove they were strong and smart to work under horrific conditions.
One of the tasks that nurses in the military hospitals, the care of the patient's diet by preparing and serving meals. These nurses also distributed clothing, linens and other necessities. They also talk with the patient look after the emotional of the soldiers. They did this by reading to them, for them to write talk to them.
Most of the nurses of the Civil War were sisters of the religious order. There are many nurses who are willing to survivors before they were discharged to hospitals. They have remained more wounded soldiers to be found. Certainly, the nurses were very helpful to the soldiers during the war.
In the Civil War, the nurses asked to brown or black dress to wear. Moreover, the dress had no ornaments or no frills and no hoop skirts. The dark-colored dress was used because it does not stand out and show the blood. In this case, the dress designed for function rather than fashion. The dress was like bends and sometimes the nurses wore pants.
There were many nurses who high contribution during the Civil War. Without their existence, the war could get worse and there were more victims of the war. Therefore, you should be proud if a nursing career for now. This is because nursing career will be very useful to others.

If you want to be a nurse, you will find that the steps that you should take are not that hard. You can join the college nursing programs to get the degree. Right after you graduate nursing programs, you will become a professional nursing that you want.
When I was in the Army or Air Force ROTC NURSING, I would go to war as a nurse as it was at that point?
If it is ever to the point of deployed to a war (hopefully not) and when I go to the Army ROTC Nursing program, not sure if the Air Force offers, I would go as a nurse or as a soldier in a fight?
