Barbie vs. Dara and Sara. What does it say about Iranians?
Barbie dolls sell like hotcakes in Iran. The Iranian government labels them as too Western and promoted the sale of the Islamic Dara and Sara dolls. Dara and Sara sales flopped. Smuggled Barbies fly off the shelves. What does that say about the Iranian people versus their governmnet? Mack – It was an article on Yahoo News. It is not illegal to sell Barbies in Iran, but heavily discouraged. The article says Dara and Sara sales flopped, while Barbies have a great flight taken.
I think Dara and Sara dolls are so cute. Iranians love American products. It is silly too worried about the impact of dolls. I grew up with GI Joes and Barbie dolls. I never joined the military and became a fashion model.
