I thought I recently saw the Broadway hit "Wicked" (which was an absolute masterpiece), but I never catch the explanation of why the Wicked Witch of the East could not get wet? Anyone out there know?
If you read the book "Wicked" She explains that Elphaba was allergic to water. She can not swim. There is a scene where Fiyero Elphaba is watching as she puts oil on her body and he figures out that this is how she stays clean because they can not swim.
